Ranvir Singh in line for new ITV deal?

Ranvir Singh is reportedly close to signing a new deal to keep her on ITV and Good Morning Britain.

ITV is reportedly close to concluding a new deal with Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh to keep her with the broadcaster.

The 43-year-old, who serves as GMB's political editor, enjoyed a successful stint on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, making it as far as the semi-finals.

Singh's contract with the breakfast show is due to end next month but according to the Daily Mail, she is on the verge of penning an extension that will also see her host other shows for ITV.

"Ranvir is loved at ITV and by its viewers, she has everything that the channel needs to move forward," a source told the newspaper.

"There are lots of high-profile projects in the pipeline, too. The intention is that she will be one of the more used presenters. Nobody wants to lose her."

Singh has been part of the GMB team since the programme launched in 2014.
