Piers Morgan to return to Good Morning Britain on Monday

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan reveals that he will return to the breakfast show on Monday after a week off with illness.

Piers Morgan has revealed that he will be back behind the Good Morning Britain desk on Monday morning after a week off through illness.

The 55-year-old took a coronavirus test last weekend after he picked up a "mild symptom" of the killer disease, although it came back negative on Monday.

Nevertheless, Morgan has continued to remain off the air all week as he recuperates from the mystery illness but took to Twitter this morning to reassure fans.

The outspoken host wrote: "Relax everyone, I'll be back Monday."

Ben Shephard has filled in for Morgan alongside Susanna Reid all of this week.
