The final episodes of Doctors filmed before production was halted by coronavirus will air on BBC One this week, culminating with a soap first on Friday.
A special 45-minute edition of the soap, Can You Hear Me?, was filmed entirely by the cast members themselves on their mobile phones during lockdown.
The episode is set in the evening, when remote meetings and counselling takes place among a variety of characters - including one who starts to show symptoms of COVID-19.
After the episode airs, Doctors will take a break of at least a couple of months while new material is filmed, with new Australian drama The Heights taking over the timeslot from next week.
