James Newman to represent UK at Eurovision 2021?

James Newman sparks speculation that he may represent the UK at the rearranged 2021 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

James Newman has sparked speculation that he may be reselected to represent the UK at next year's Eurovision Song Contest.

The 34-year-old was due to fly the flag at this year's Eurovision in Rotterdam with his song 'My Last Breath,' but the entire contest was called off for the first time in its history due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Eurovision rules prevent the same songs being submitted again for the rearranged event in 2021 although there is nothing to stop the contestants from the class of 2020 competing with a different song.

Posting on Twitter this morning, Newman wrote: "Had a productive week writing with the my mates who I wrote My Last Breath with!"

The UK has yet to confirm its plans for next year's contest.
