EastEnders bids farewell to Luisa Bradshaw-White as Tina Carter.

Luisa Bradshaw-White's final scenes as Tina Carter on EastEnders aired tonight.

Saturday's episode ended with a cliffhanger that saw Tina realise that Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) had murdered his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) - and in the opening minutes of tonight's episode, she desperately tried to escape his house.

Soon it was revealed that Gray had murdered Tina in their ensuing struggle as she lay dead on his sofa with strangulation marks on her neck.

"Do you know something? You're right," he told her lifeless body. "If I couldn't have her, no-one else could. She was my everything but she didn't listen. You didn't listen.

"I didn't mean to hurt her... I loved her. She was my world."

Later, Gray wrapped up Tina's body in a shower curtain and dumped her in the boot of the car before being interrupted by Mick, who was keen to find out where his aunt was.

"She's gone," Gray told him. "She waited as long as she could, but she got jumpy and thought you'd changed your mind."

The episode ended with Gray, having seemingly disposed of Tina's body, visiting the Vic, where Shirley and Mick thanked him for helping her to escape.

EastEnders continues Tuesday night at 7.30pm on BBC One.
