Lola and Jay will reportedly tie the knot over Christmas on EastEnders as she battles a terminal brain tumour.

EastEnders favourites Lola (Danielle Harold) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) will reportedly tie the knot over Christmas.

The pair only recently got back together but were soon shocked by the news that Lola is suffering from a terminal brain tumour.

As her condition worsens, The Sun says that the young couple will make the decision to get married before she dies.

"It's the big seasonal plotline and there won't be a dry eye in the house," a source told the newspaper.

"EastEnders fans will be rooting for Lola to be happy after the traumatic news that she is dying of a brain tumour. The highly-charged scenes will be a big hit."

The news comes after it emerged that Patsy Kensit has been cast as Lola's absent mother Emma as part of Harold's departure storyline.
