More cast members have been confirmed for The War Between the Land and the Sea, the upcoming five-part Doctor Who spinoff.
The show, which sees UNIT take on a threat from classic Who foes the Sea Devils, is headed up by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Russell Tovey, who are joined by UNIT regulars Jemma Redgrave, Alexander Devrient and Ruth Madeley.
Producer Phil Collinson has now revealed two more names on the cast list - Patrick Baladi and Vincent Franklin, both formerly of cult comedy The Office.
Baladi is also known for his roles in Line of Duty, Breeders and Mistresses, while Franklin previously collaborated with Who showrunner Russell T Davies on Cucumber and Banana.
"I've wanted to work with the wonderful Patrick Baladi for years, and here he is at last, in Cardiff!" Collinson wrote in the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine.
He added: "There's a special joy in welcoming Vincent Franklin to the set. I was lucky enough to work with him on Sally Wainwright's Gentleman Jack for the BBC and HBO, and of course, he was amazing as the lead in Russell's Channel 4 series Cucumber.
"So we're both so happy to be working with the great man again. And if you thought Anne Lister and Cucumber gave him a hard time, he's got some really extraordinary material in this."
Collinson also revealed that Adrian Lukis, known for The Bill, has also joined the cast, as have newcomers Francesca Corney and Mei Mac.
The War Between the Land and the Sea is currently being filmed ahead of an expected release in late 2025 or early 2026.
