Henry Cavill is said to be in discussions about reprising his role as Superman in future movies.
The 37-year-old first appeared as the action hero in the 2013 movie Man Of Steel, reprising the role in 2016 for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the following year's much-derided Justice League.
According to Deadline, Cavill is "in talks" with Warner Bros about playing Clark Kent in future films from DC Comics - albeit not as the main star.
The publication claims that there are no plans for a new standalone Superman movie, meaning that the superhero will be limited to cameo appearances in future DC films.
Upcoming releases which could feature Cavill include Shazam 2, Black Adam and Aquaman 2, all of which will enter production after the coronavirus lockdown has ended.
Cavill will also be seen as Superman in Zack Snyder's Justice League, a fresh cut of Justice League that is due to be released on streaming service HBO Max next year.
