James Argent in talks for Dancing On Ice?

ITV is reportedly keen to sign up TOWIE's James Argent for the next series of Dancing On Ice.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star James 'Arg' Argent is reportedly in talks for the next series of Dancing On Ice.

Earlier this year the 32-year-old admitted that he has been battling cocaine addiction for the last seven years but has started to turn his life around, going sober and losing five stone at a two-month Thailand boot camp.

According to The Sun, ITV is keen for Arg to take part in the next series of Dancing On Ice - due to begin in January - but will force him to undergo regular drug tests if he signs up.

"Dancing On Ice bosses are interested in Arg - he's a lovely bloke and is a popular guy," a source told the newspaper. "They think he shows real potential but obviously he needs to prove he's serious about taking part.

"His issues with drug use in the past have been well documented and there has been talk of him having to have drug tests if he signs up to the show to prove he is clean.

"He has told close friends about Dancing On Ice and said he'd love to get out and try it. Arg knows it's not an easy show to take part in but he's more than willing to give it a go."

Should he take part, Arg would be following in the footsteps of girlfriend Gemma Collins, who had a memorable stint on the show in 2019.
