Kym Marsh hints at Coronation Street return

Kym Marsh insists that she is just 'taking a little breather' and vows to return to Coronation Street in the future.

Kym Marsh has confirmed her intention to return to Coronation Street at some point in the future.

The actress played the part of popular character Michelle Connor on the soap for almost 14 years but left the cobbles in December 2019.

The 44-year-old now has a new job hosting BBC magazine programme Morning Live, but in a new interview she has revealed that she is merely having "a little breather" from Corrie.

"I really do miss everyone, I really miss the street," she told Entertainment Daily.

"When I left I always said I'd come back one day and I will. I just needed to get out and take a little breather and do some other things. I have no doubt that one day I'll go back there and dip my toe back in.

"I have been really busy and I've been so fortunate, but obviously the year I left was really weird.

"I left in October 2019 and went straight into doing loads of other bits and bobs and I had loads of stuff planned for the year after that obviously all fell through. I thought, 'oh no, what a year to leave!'"

Michelle's exit storyline saw her leave for a new life in Dublin following the murder of her husband Robert.
