Coronation Street wins top honours at Inside Soap Awards

Coronation Street is named Best Soap at this year's Inside Soap Awards.

Coronation Street has defeated EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks to be crowned Best Soap at this year's Inside Soap Awards.

The Weatherfield-based soap took the title for the first time since 2021 and also notched up victories in the categories of Best Actor (Peter Ash), Best Young Performer (Charlie Wrenshall), Best Storyline, Best Partnership and Best Comic Performance (Dame Maureen Lipman).

Elsewhere, Eden Taylor-Draper was named Best Actress for her portrayal of Belle Dingle's domestic abuse storyline in Emmerdale, while Navin Chowdhry collected the Best Villain award for his turn as master manipulator Nish Panesar in EastEnders.
