Shaun Williamson has admitted that he is eyeing up a role on Coronation Street or Emmerdale, 16 years on from his last appearance on EastEnders.
The 54-year-old played lovable loser Barry Evans on the soap from 1994 to 2004, leaving when his character met his demise by being pushed off a cliff by his wife.
"To be honest, I'd had 10 years on EastEnders and I'd had enough," Williamson told The Sun.
"Obviously I can't go back to EastEnders because I was pushed off a cliff and you saw me croak my last. Well, you never know - never say never.
"I'd love to get on Corrie or Emmerdale. I'm a massive fan of both shows."
Williamson was most recently seen on Channel 5's Celebrity Five Go Barging.
