Liam Halligan quits as Economics and Business Editor at GB News after three years.

Liam Halligan has quit his role as Economics and Business Editor at GB News after three years with the upstart station.

The respected journalist - also a columnist for The Telegraph - has been with the channel from its launch, initially fronting an afternoon slot alongside former MP Gloria De Piero.

In September 2021 Halligan began hosting his own business show On The Money but it was dropped from the schedule a year later and instead became an occasional segment during regular programming.

A GB News source told Guido Fawkes: "He is hugely productive and appears on air many times each day, dissecting economic and fiscal issues, while discussing politics too. But he has grown pretty disillusioned since his dedicated On the Money show was ditched."

It is unknown when Halligan, who has been on air this week to cover the Spring Budget, will leave the channel and he has yet to comment on the story publicly.
