Laura Kuenssberg and Clive Myrie have been confirmed as the co-anchors of the BBC's general election results coverage on the night of July 4.
Huw Edwards took over as lead anchor from David Dimbleby in 2019 and was on course to return this year, but he resigned from the BBC in April after it emerged that he had been paying an individual for private photos online.
Kuenssberg, former political editor and host of the Sunday morning show, will team up with veteran news anchor Myrie to share the duties for network coverage on BBC One this time around, with political editor Chris Mason providing commentary throughout the night as the results come in.
Reeta Chakrabarti returns to analyse the results in detail, while Jeremy Vine will take his Swingometer to Cardiff, Kirsty Wark will be in Glasgow and Andrea Catherwood will be based in Belfast.
Presenters at key counts include Fiona Bruce, Victoria Derbyshire, Naga Munchetty, Nick Watt and Alex Forsyth - and Friday morning's coverage will be anchored by Sophie Raworth and Jon Kay.
The network broadcast will air on BBC One in England, BBC Two in Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as via the BBC News Channel.
As usual, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish viewers will receive dedicated election programmes on BBC One in their region, anchored by Nick Servini, Martin Geissler and Mark Carruthers respectively.
BBC News CEO Deborah Turness said: "In this election, we have one thing on our minds above all else – the voters. Throughout the campaign we'll be giving them the facts and information they need to make up their own minds.
"We know the way people are consuming news is changing; we'll have the most comprehensive ever offer across every platform, so we can be where people are.
"And once the ballots are cast, a truly fantastic lineup of journalistic talent, headed by Laura and Clive, will bring voters the results and help make sense of them. We've assembled a fresh, dynamic team to bring insight, experience - and perhaps a little wit – to audiences for the whole election night and beyond.
"It's incredible to have such breadth and depth of expertise to call upon, up and down the country, when it matters most."
