Donald Trump is reportedly developing plans for his own news channel with the aim of 'wrecking' FOX News.

President Donald Trump has reportedly begun developing plans to launch his own news channel with the aim of taking on FOX News.

The 74-year-old's time in office is due to come to an end in January when Joe Biden becomes the 45th President of the United States following his triumph in this month's election.

Trump has thus far refused to accept the result of the vote - alleging mass voter fraud without providing material evidence - and has also turned on his former favourite TV network, FOX News, after they refused to go along with his narrative.

According to Axios, the former host of The Apprentice is now looking to capitalise on his huge devoted following by launching a news channel which would initially operate as an online streaming service and charge a monthly subscription fee.

"He plans to wreck Fox. No doubt about it," a source told the publication. "He's going to spend a lot of time slamming Fox."

Earlier on Thursday Trump undertook a spree of retweeting negative posts about FOX News, before hitting out at the network himself.
