Watch: First four minutes of the Big Brother Australia premiere

Watch the first four minutes of the premiere episode of the much-anticipated new season of Big Brother in Australia.

Seven has released the first four minutes from the premiere episode of the new season of Big Brother.

The show returns to Australian TV screens on Monday after an absence of almost six years with a brand new format: the entire season was pre-recorded earlier this year and for the first time, housemates will vote each other out rather than the public.

In all, 20 housemates will compete in the new season, with an eviction every single episode until there are just two remaining, at which point the viewers will pick their winner in a live special.

The sneak peek clip sets the scene for the new season and also shows the first housemate, YouTuber Kieran Davidson, greeting host Sonia Kruger before entering the house.
