Former Aussie Rules player confirmed for Big Brother

Ex-Aussie Rules player Daniel Gorringe is unveiled as the second housemate taking part in the new season of Big Brother.

Ex-Aussie Rules player Daniel Gorringe has been named as the second housemate appearing in the upcoming new season of Big Brother.

The 27-year-old had his promising career in the game cut short in 2017 due to recurring Achilles injuries, having had stints playing for Gold Coast and Carlton.

Last year Gorringe forged a new career as a social media star, with his humorous videos recalling his time as a player - mostly involving beer - earning him a huge fan base among football fans.

Now Seven have confirmed him as the next housemate to appear in Big Brother via a Twitter video in which he declares: "For some weird reason, I believe I can win this."

A premiere date for the new season, which was pre-recorded in its entirety earlier this year, has yet to be confirmed.
