One Foot In The Grave creator David Renwick has confirmed that he is bringing back the iconic Victor Meldrew for a new book.
The curmudgeonly character - known for his "I don't believe it!" catchphrase - was played by Richard Wilson in the BBC comedy, which ended in 2000 with Victor being killed off.
The new book, One Foot In The Grave And Counting, will feature Victor struggling to adapt to life - including new technology - in the 21st century.
Renwick confirmed the plans in an interview for the Distinct Nostalgia podcast but did not reveal whether the book will deal with Victor's death or just sidestep the issue.
One Foot In The Grave And Counting is expected for release this summer.
