Sky has picked up the British rights to the upcoming Dune prequel TV series Dune: Prophecy.
The film franchise - based on the Frank Herbert novels - is set in a dystopian future and charts the battle for the desert planet Arrakis, which holds the key to providing superhuman abilities and interstellar travel.
The first two big-screen outings, starring Timothee Chalamet as the leading man, have been huge critical and box-office successes - and a final movie in the trilogy is now in the works.
Plans for a TV prequel - set 10,000 years before the film - were first announced in 2019 and filming finally took place at the end of last year.
Called Dune: Prophecy, the cast includes Emily Watson and Olivia Williams as the two founding sisters of the powerful Bene Gesserit group.
The show will premiere on Sky Atlantic in the UK and Ireland, and HBO/Max in the US, this November. Watch the new first-look trailer below:
