The BBC has reportedly decided against ordering a third series of comedy horror Wreck.
The show - created and written by Ryan J Brown - begins with a young man named Jamie (Oscar Kennedy) who gets a job on a cruise ship to try to find out what happened to his sister, who apparently went overboard some time earlier.
A murder mystery ensues, eventually developing into a wider conspiracy - a storyline that was continued in series two, which dropped on BBC Three last spring.
Fans have been waiting since for news of a third series, but The Sun has now found tweets from Brown posted last year which appear to confirm the show's fate.
Replying to one fan, he wrote: "Shame we never got to complete the trilogy, but it's been amazing to see how much the show has meant to those who managed to find it — despite the odds!"
The show - currently available to stream on iPlayer - boasts a near-perfect score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
