Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has revealed that he is awaiting surgery after falling over on some ice.

The 49-year-old, who played Xander in the cult series, explained to his fans in a video that he has not yet commented on the controversy surrounding showrunner Joss Whedon, who is accused of inappropriate behaviour during filming of the show, because he has not had enough time to fully process the allegations.

Going into graphic detail of his injury, Brendon said: "My anus is kinda paralysed and so is my penis, which is weird. I gotta sit down to piss because I don't know if I'm shitting or pissing. It's crazy. Good times is what I say."

On Whedon, he told followers: "I'm not speaking on Joss yet. It's very personal for me, so I'll speak on that when I'm ready to speak on that. Because he and I had a relationship."

Whedon himself has yet to comment on the allegations against him.
