Buffy producer backs allegations against Joss Whedon

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer producer Marti Noxon says that she 'validates' and 'supports' allegations made against show creator Joss Whedon.

Marti Noxon, a former producer and writer on Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, has said that she 'supports' members of the cast who are coming forward with allegations against show creator Joss Whedon.

Earlier this week Charisma Carpenter posted a lengthy statement on Instagram in which she accused the 56-year-old of creating a hostile work environment and a "mean and biting" atmosphere.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who was 15 when she joined the show, backed Carpenter's characterisation of Whedon in her own post, alleging that he was "not allowed alone in a room" with her.

Noxon, who was part of the Buffy creative team from its third season, wrote on Twitter: "I would like to validate what the women of Buffy are saying and support them in telling their story. They deserve to be heard.

"I understand where Charisma, Amber [Benson], Michelle and all the women who have spoken out are coming from."

Noxon previously spoke out about her time working on Glee, claiming that there were males involved with production of the show who were "bullies-in-chief".
