Donald Trump hits out at "very nasty" LeBron James

Donald Trump launches an attack on basketball hero LeBron James, accusing him of being "a very nasty spokesman" for the Democrats.

President Donald Trump has hit out at NBA superstar LeBron James, accusing him of being "a very nasty spokesman" for the Democrats.

The LA Lakers forward, 35, is an outspoken critic of Trump and is currently helping to campaign for his Democrat rival Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

James has also been vocal about his - and the wider NBA's - support for the Black Lives Matter movement, and during an appearance on Friday's The Rush Limbaugh Show, the President took the opportunity to slate the athlete.

"LeBron is a spokesman for the democratic party and a very nasty spokesman," he said.

"Because, again, I've done so much for the black community and people don't wanna see that and he's a great basketball player but people don't wanna see a guy that way. They don't want to see that.

"We have enough difficulty during the week, you don't wanna sit down watching a basketball game and then watch somebody that hates your guts, okay. He's a hater."

Trump also claimed that the NBA has "become so political that nobody cares about it anymore".
