Ant Middleton reveals that the new series of SAS: Who Dares Wins is on track to be filmed as normal despite the ongoing threat of coronavirus.

SAS: Who Dares Wins' chief instructor Ant Middleton has revealed that the sixth series of the show is about to begin filming.

The endurance series sees contestants take on a version of the notoriously difficult SAS selection course in a test of physical strength and mental endurance.

The show normally airs on Channel 4 for six weeks from January but the 2021 series had been in doubt due to the coronavirus pandemic, but according to Middleton, the show is on track to be broadcast as normal.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain today, Middleton also revealed that he has just returned from Australia, where he has completed filming on a celebrity version for local broadcaster Channel 7.

"We've just come back from Australia, where I was filming for four to five weeks," he said. "It was a great series, really fun. The Aussies are a tough bunch to be fair.

"It airs in October on Channel 7 in Australia and now in about a week's time I fly out to an undisclosed location to film the new series of the UK SAS Who Dares Wins."

Middleton is also expected to record a new series of the celebrity version in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
