"Huge blaze" interrupts filming of new Made In Chelsea series

The new shortened series of Made In Chelsea is reportedly interrupted by a "huge" car fire.

Filming on the new series of Made In Chelsea has reportedly been interrupted by a "huge" fire.

The long-running E4 reality show was brought to a halt earlier this year by the coronavirus pandemic but has resumed filming this month at a Sussex mansion.

Four new episodes are being produced for transmission on E4 next month, combining action from those at the mansion - including Olivia Bentley and Eliza Batten - with others who have remained behind in Chelsea.

According to The Sun, a massive fire broke out over the weekend at the unnamed 23-acre estate as a car went up in flames.

"It was really scary," a neighbour told the newspaper. "The car was engulfed in flames and firefighters were called to deal with the blaze.

"The cast were far enough away so they were safe but some were a bit shaken."

Further details about the new series are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
