Brianne Delcourt announces her departure from Dancing On Ice after 10 years.

Dancing On Ice favourite Brianne Delcourt has announced that she has decided to leave the show ahead of its new series.

The 39-year-old has been part of the professional lineup on the celebrity skating contest since 2010, winning the crown with actor Samuel Attwater a year later.

On this year's show Delcourt was partnered with former footballer Kevin Kilbane and the pair soon embarked upon a whirlwind romance, with plans now afoot for them to get married next year.

"It has been a back-and-forth question mark in my mind for some time now," she told Hello! magazine.

"The hardest part will be missing my DoI family and I have so much to thank the show for, including introducing me to my absolute soulmate in Kevin.

"I'm 39 – 40 in February – and I've been on the road for so long and as a working mum – a single mum. I really had to work hard for everything on my own. The show has been a huge part of my life and part of (daughter) Gracie's too."

The new series begins in January, with celebrities rumoured to be taking part including Denise Van Outen, Denise Lewis and Sally Dynevor.
