Suspects begin to emerge as Leanne recovers from her hangover to discover matches in her pocket, David comes under scrutiny for being AWOL at the time the fire started and Abi gives a questionable alibi.

David calls Andy to arrange a time for their plan but Nick reminds him that it's Sarah's birthday party - unaware that Logan is listening in. David lies to Sarah that he won't be able to make her party because he's at a client's house.

Abi's furious to learn that it was Toyah who reported her to social services. Meanwhile, the kids ditch the party and head to No.8 to live stream a séance - but when Toyah catches wind of it, she heads round there and orders them out. Abi sees Toyah going into No. 8 and decides to confront her, but when Toyah accidentally knocks over some red wine, Abi gets a vision of Seb covered in blood and smacks Toyah.
Someone approaches No. 8, pushing a lit cloth through the letterbox and starting a fire.
After Sally alerts the party guests about the fire, Shona, Nick and Max worry that Lily may be inside and head in, where Nick finds Toyah unconscious on the floor. Shona finds out that Lily is safe and back on the street, she tells David that Max is trapped upstairs.
As they head back towards the house, No. 8 suddenly explodes. Will Max make it out alive?

The fire engine and ambulance arrive on Coronation Street. Kit informs the paramedic that Toyah suffered smoke inhalation and also has a head wound, but when Leanne comes over to check on her, Nick realises she's drunk and sends her packing. Meanwhile, a firefighter discovers Max's lifeless body and he is taken away in an ambulance.

At the hospital, Shona quizzes David about the fire but he insists that he was with an old mate. Kit arrives and confirms that the fire was a result of arson as David asserts that it was clearly down to Logan.

Kevin and Debbie fear for the worst when he gets a call from Wendy informing him that Abi collected Alfie an hour ago but seemed on edge.

Hoping for positive news about Toyah, Leanne joins Nick in the waiting room. When he accuses her of starting the fire, she is adamant that she had nothing to do with it but as she looks for her purse in her pocket, she finds a box of matches.
